THE GOVERNOR'S AWARDS
...For Excellence in
Energy Efficiency in New Home Construction

Roy Pike, The Willows at Wells;
Ed Horan, Academy for Career Education;
Governor Jim Gibbons; Robin Thuresson, DR Horton; and Paul
Kaplan, KAP Construction
Energy efficiency and other key Green Home features were
incorporated into the design of all of the winning homes.
A Green Home uses less energy, water and natural resources;
creates less waste; and is healthier and more comfortable for
the occupants. Benefits of a Green Home include lower energy and
water bills; reduced greenhouse gas emissions; and less exposure
to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins. The award winners are
all inspected and tested by independent, third party verifiers.
